Consolations

Polium, a company comprised of just four people, unveiled the first NFT console this week which is designed to be used for multi-chain web3 gaming. But the real stir came though when people started noticing the similarities of its logo with Nintendo's GameCube. Despite claiming this was pure coincidence, they're re-designing it which is very gracious of them.

How exactly the console will be used with NFTs is uncertain and with a launch date of 2024, it looks like they'll be figuring it out as they go. How very web3!

Nothing in NFTs

Is it just us or has the last week seen more crypto phone hype than anything else? This time, Nothing, the offshoot of OnePlus, have released their NFT called 'Community Dots', a way of rewarding crowdfunding investors before publicly launching the phone itself.

Whilst this is a nice idea to start giving back, the hardware will need to live up to expectations to avoid these NFTs crashing and a very angry Discord. It's easy to think that conjuring up value out of thin air is too convenient, but with it comes expectations that demand for it will increase. Basically, they're doubling down on the launch going to plan.

DAOwn on One Knee

Ok this isn't actually news, but it's an interesting thought about DAO proposals, courtesy of the esteemed @punk4156.

How can you cut through the noise within a DAO to get your proposal through? Will we see viral marketing techniques come into play in the future?

Fun New Toys

Humans is a platform where you can recommend a friend for a job and get paid for it, like becoming a recruiter where you get the full bounty from HR rather than the second hand one from your mate.

It might actually now be worth your while to make smalltalk at events now. Sorry devs, not you.

Confession Corner

I spent $3000 on LIT instead of ETH in because I figured at 0.002 cents a coin it had a lot more potential to go up.
